Cutting, lightboxes and printing from a single source

Three tools that show we deliver the application too – not just the profile. Frames made to measure, configure light frames and have the matching tension fabric printed.

Cutting service

Using CNC-controlled double mitre saws, we cut your profiles precisely to size and mitre. Special shapes, small quantities or large volumes make no difference. You receive pre-cut profiles that only need to be assembled on site.

Lightbox service

We deliver ready-made light frames in your desired configuration. Our team of electricians professionally wires the LEDs and power supplies and tests every frame before shipping. On site, all you need to do is connect the frame to the electrical circuit.

Print service

Order tension fabric with flat keder directly with your frame – artwork and format in one step. The right material is available for every application, indoors and outdoors. All variants are suitable for backlit frames up to 300 cm wide.

Locations

One company, two headquarters

Since 2013, we have been supplying the Austrian and German markets as well as Czechia, Slovakia and Slovenia with aluminium profiles and LEDs for the signage industry from our location in Weinsteig (AT). Demand in the German market was so high that in 2023 – ten years after the company was founded – we opened a second full-scale location in Germany so that we can supply our customers there with the usual speed, reliability and flexibility.

Our central warehouse covers around 1,000 m² and holds several hundred kilometres of profile available for immediate delivery. Production is carried out on a double mitre saw and a CNC panel router. Lightbox construction, consulting and product development are all under one roof.

SMP in Germany

Not a branch office, but a fully fledged production site. On around 1,000 m², we manufacture backed by our own large profile warehouse. Two double mitre saws, a bending machine and our own lightbox production are ready for demanding projects.

IN-HOUSE DEVELOPMENT

Barb hook system for outdoor use

For a long time, tension fabrics with sewn-on flat keder were only available for indoor use – outdoors, the keder could not withstand wind and temperature changes. SMP made the system suitable for outdoor use with a barb hook. In use since 2015, it is now the standard for fast installation of outdoor advertising displays.

IN-HOUSE DEVELOPMENT

Locking profile for clamping strip technology

Clamping strips have one major advantage: the banner does not need to be finished before installation. The drawback: over time, wind and frost pushed the strip out of the groove. The SMP locking profile mechanically locks the clamping strip – the banner stays in the frame, even after years outdoors.
